This coffee is named after the coffee farm owner Meizi. Meizi is a second generation coffee farmer in Yunnan, China. After graduating from college, her love of coffee drove her to pursue better cup quality from the source – growing and processing of coffee. This coffee is first fermented in sealed plastic bags after harvest for three days. This pre-fermentation process gives the coffee a strong tropical fruit note. Then, the coffee cherries are dried on raised beds until the moisture reaches 11%.
