Located in Kirinyaga, northeast of Nairobi, the Kaliini Factory was founded in the 1960s as a production processing plant for nearby harvested cherries . It belongs to the Mwirua Agricultural Cooperative, which consists of eight factories, and jointly manages the nursery and refines it. We perform pulping using clean water drawn from the nearby Rundu River and manage the drying process so that the moisture value is 12% or less while paying attention to uneven drying .
The Kariaini Factory in Kirinyaga was established in the 1960’s as a facility that processes coffee cherries in the area. Now it belongs to the Mwirua Cooperative that has eight washing stations to manage a nursery and processing together. Pulping is done with clean water from the Rundu river. They evenly dry the beans until the moisture content gets under 12%.
