Latin America magic lighting up our tastebuds. Four fine coffees find harmony here in this beautiful blend. A dry process coffee from Brazil and a honey process Pacamara from El Salvador bring sweetness and unbelievable body while a pretty Peru and gorgeous Guatemala add lovely liveliness. Easy-drinking enchantment.
Need another round to dial it in. First cup is good—yes plz is always good—but I think it can be better. Forgot to change grind and temp settings from my light roast beans so wasn’t as precise as I could have been. Think it should be in the 1:15.7 range. But maybe higher?
Getting closer. Increased grind size to 11.66 (two clicks up from 11) on Oxo. Had played around with 1:16 ratio earlier but it still wasn’t quite yummy/bright enough. So I wanted to stick with 1:16 and see if the grind could make the difference with a slightly longer brew time. It helped a lot! Might drop the ratio down a tad. 1:16 at any grind size seems to be pushing it a tiny bit into over extraction. Either need to play with increasing water temp or changing the number of pours/pulses.
