Ariovaldo Bonfim’s farm, Fortaleza, is located in the city of Patrocinio, in the Cerrado Mineiro growing region of Brazil. This region is a world-recognized, high-quality coffee producing origin and became the first Protected Geographical Indication in Brazil. Since 1987, Ariovaldo Bonfim (with the help of his wife and children) cultivate 5 hectares (12 acres) of coffee on their property. Situated around the cone of a partially formed volcano, their farm at 1150 meters create unique characteristics in the cup only found here.
