The geology and climate of the Kona region of Hawaii make it one of the premiere coffee growing regions of the world. Rich volcanic soils are the perfect host for Arabica coffee trees to yield large, clean, sweet and mild coffee beans. In the roaster, Konas always get a more drawn out profile, bringing the heat up low and slow, maintaining complete control into development. When this coffee drops into the cooling bin, it is a true pleasure to experience the sweet aromatics and behold the uniform size and color. This is one we like to brew right after we roast it, just to make sure we get a taste, too.
